The 2017 Digital Health Innovation Lab will focus primarily on past graduates who have shown progress since participation, as well as select companies nominated by our provider, payer and investor networks.
This focus is in response to our provider and payer partners increased interest in growth-stage companies with solutions that have clinically proven outcomes and a track record of integrating their solution into a large health care organization.
The 2017 program will allow participants an opportunity to receive a fast-tracked decision on beta tests.
Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
- Graduate of the Digital Health Innovation Lab provided the company has two employees working in New York state.
- Digital health company nominated by provider, payer or investor partners provided company is headquartered and has the majority of their employees in New York state.
Past graduates will receive an invite to apply. Companies that meet the second eligibility requirement above can be nominated or can seek a nomination from our network of providers and investors. - A selection committee comprised of participating provider leadership, venture capital participants, clinicians and technology experts will review each application.
- The committee will select up to ten companies to participate in the program. Criteria for selection include: product innovation in focus areas, value/benefits within the focus areas, management’s track record and product maturity stage.

Half-day session for each of the presenting companies to showcase their solutions to the participating health care organizations
There is no fee to apply. If accepted, alums, who have previously provided warrant coverage, will be able to participate without any additional fee or warrants. For those newly accepted into the program through a nomination, the company will agree to provide the Digital Health Innovation Lab 3 percent of the contract revenue from the partner organizations connected through the program. This will only apply to the original contract signed within 3 years of participation in the program and will not include any renewals. This would only apply to connections made through the Lab that result in reviewing, testing and a commercial contract for the product.
